Visiting Planners je nová série rozhovorů a přednášek o výzkumu a praxi urbánní politiky. Pět hostů v rozmezí května a června uskuteční sérii dvoudenních turné v Brně a v Praze. Publiku představí svou práci v různě definovaných rolích. Hostem tohoto večera je kritik a teoretik politické dimenze městského plánování a architektury Gideon Boie.
Gideon Boie (1975) je architekt a filosof. Je zakladatelem kolektivu BAVO a věnuje se výzkumu na Fakultě architektury KU Leuven. V současnosti žije a pracuje v Bruselu. Jeho práce se zaměřuje na politickou dimenzi umění, architektury a urbánního plánování. Je spoluautorem knihy ´Urban Politics Now´ (NAi Rotterdam, 2007). BAVO rozšiřuje kritickou funkci výzkumu tím, že se angažuje v praxi a aktivně vstupuje do veřejných debat.

Gideon Boie (1975) is architect-philosopher, researcher at the KU Leuven Faculty of Architecture and cofounder of the BAVO collective. Currently he lives and works in Brussels. His work focusses on the political dimension of art, architecture and urban planning. He is co-author of the book ´Urban Politics Now´ (NAi Rotterdam, 2007). BAVO expands the critical function of research by actively engaging with practice and intervening in public debates. He is co-author of the book ´Urban Politics Now´ (NAi Rotterdam, 2007).
