Elaine Summers, choreografka, tanečnice, filmařka, připravila tento film pro hru s názvem „Fantastické zahrady“, která se hrála v Judson Church v New Yorku v únoru 1964.
Tento film, jehož název přímo odkazuje na Judson Dance Theatre, je možné vnímat jako určitou signaturu postmoderního hnutí. Je také vhledem do experimentální kinematografie jako jednoho z aspektů postmoderního tance.

Lisa Nelson, tanečnice, choreografka a pedagožka, byla v lednu 2014 pozvána do Laboratoires D’Aubervilliers (centrum pro umělecký výzkum na předměstí Paříže), aby zde udělala performance. Rozhodla se, že to, co zde předvede, nazve „Attentionography“. Nikdo přesně nevěděl, co se chystá udělat. Bude to přednáška o Tuning Score? (Obecný název, kterým byl pojmenován její výzkum, jenž spočívá ve studiu smyslového vnímání prostřednictvím pohybu.) Nebo nějaká videa? (Měla za sebou již více než 40 let tancování, a její video archiv tak byl dost působivý.) Tanec? (Původně ji požádali, aby předvedla své sólo „Dodo“ – svou ranou práci na téma vztahu mezi viděním a dýcháním.) Film zachycuje to, co se ten večer nakonec událo.
Lisa Nelson je choreografka, improvizátorka, performerka, umělkyně účastnící se různých interdisciplinárních projektů. Již od začátku 70. let 20. stol. se zabývá rolí smyslů v rámci performance a pozorováním pohybu. Vyvinula vlastní přístup ke spontánní kompozici a performance, který se nazývá „tuning score“ a který vychází z její práce s videem a tancem. Dlouhodobě udržuje spolupráci s umělci jako Steve Paxton, Daniel Lepkoff, Cathy Weis, Scott Smith a Image Lab–a Tuning Score performance ensemble. Od roku 1977 je ko-editorkou časopisu Contact Quarterly – časopisu věnovanému tanci a improvizaci. Žije ve Vermontu.

Elaine Summers, choreographer, dancer, film-maker, made this film for a play titled « Fantastic Gardens », which was shown at The Judson Church (New York) in February 1964.
This film, whose title refers directly to The Judson Dance Theater, can be seen as a signature of the Post Modern Movement as well as an insight into the experimental cinema aspect of what has been called Post Modern Dance.

In January 2014, the dancer, teacher and choreographer Lisa Nelson was invited to perform at les Laboratoires D’Aubervilliers (an art center for research in the suburbs of Paris). She decided to call « Attentionography » what she was going to present. A talk about the Tuning Score ? (the generic name given to her research. The Tuning score consists in studying the phenomenon of sensorial perception through the prisma of mouvement) Some videos ? (she has danced for more then 40 years so her archives are quite impressive) A dance ? (she was asked to perform « Dodo » : an early solo on the relation between seeing and breathing) No one exakly new what she was going to do. The film shows what happened during that specific evening.
Lisa Nelson is a dance-maker, improvisational performer, and collaborative artist who has been exploring the role of the senses in the performance and observation of movement since the early ’70s. Stemming from her work with video and dance, she developed an approach to spontaneous composition and performance she calls tuning score. She performs, teaches and creates dances in diverse spaces on many continents, and maintains long-term collaborations with other artists, including Steve Paxton, Daniel Lepkoff, Cathy Weis, Scott Smith, and Image Lab–a Tuning Score performance ensemble. Her writings have been published by Nouvelles de danse, Contact Quarterly, Writings on Dance, ballettanz,MovementResearch.org, Critical Correspondance, and sarma.be/oralsite. She has co-edited Contact Quarterly dance and improvisation journal since 1977. She lives in Vermont.

Tomáš Hlaváček (CZ) and Jean-Philippe Derail (FR) propose to make a short film in the duration of the four days workshop given by Myriam Lefkowitz (FR) and Julie Laporte (FR) as part of Move The City 2015.
The aim of the workshop is to equip the body with increased sensorial attention so that our usual experience of the urban space can be shifted.
Lisa Nelson’s « Single Image Score » will be used as a tool for experimentation, focusing on the attention towards the eyes and the use of the gaze, questioning the action of seeing for the dancer and the viewer.
The film will be composed with these two points of view, shifting from one posture to the other, from the interior of the movement to the exterior vision, enhancing the experience, it’s playfulness and it’s sense of emergency.
